Yeah, their music kinda makes you want to throw a chair through a window. And I'm sometimes in the mood for that I guess. I mean, it's definently not pop rock. It's more like sledge hammer rock.
What!? No Bel Canto on that list? IF you haven't heard it, go to www.MusicaObscura.net and listen to some Bel Canto. There are a few songs on there by them or Anneli Drecker (Bel Canto's vocalist on her solo stuff). "Feels Like I'm Already Flying" by Bel Canto is the best song ever recorded.
Steven, When it comes time to rock out Euro-style, might I suggest Russia's "Gorky Park". They rock hard and could kick Bel Canto's butt any day of the week (with both hands tied behind their backs, I might add). I think the thing that most kicks axe about Gorky Park besides being from Russia has gotta be there killer lyrics. Here's a sample:
GORKY PARK - Child Of The Wind
You're living in a mystery You're looking for a magic clue Your puzzle has a million pieces Who can put them together You're living with a heart that's beating Oooh out of time You're thinking about the trust of people All kinds of people Down in your soul Your secret's there to find But you must search Where spirits fly Do you believe In the power of a touch The answer will come when you can give love
Child of the wind I feel your warning Child of the sea I see your tears Child of the rain I hear your thunder Child of the sky I hear you cry
You're living with a silent stranger He's living inside your mind You're living on the edge of balance Holding out for a reason It's part of being human Oooh it's all right Some people never have the answer Don't know the question Down in your soul Your secret's there to find But you must search Where spirits fly Do you believe The power of a touch The answer will come when you can give love
Child of the wind I feel your warning Child of the sea I see your tears Child of the rain I hear your thunder Child of the sky I hear you cry
If those lyrics don't get you pumped, nothing will! Now just imagine those lyrics wailing along with killer guitar licks. That is what good music is!

Hey, DF.
Remember how you just turned sixteen and are wiping away the tears from decemberunderground?
Stones in glass houses, man.
Band of Horses is pretty awesome.
DF MAVERICK,
Man, you should listen to some Horns man. They'll make you throw that emo little 'tude right out the fucking kitchen window. I'm serious. Good stuff.
STEVEN
jerking off to Wonder Woman is one of my favorite pastimes. Catwoman is good too.
You should try it some time. It'll work out some of that emo aggression you've got going on.
DF,
Horns will be available on SLCtunes.com starting July 28th. Here's their Myspace page with some samples, though:

Listen to "You Can Take My Rickshaw" and "Rockstar Movement"
Tell me what you think.
