Well that is unfortunate, who is this musically illiterate cretin who has infiltrated your computation device?

Bryan said...

Hey, DF.

Remember how you just turned sixteen and are wiping away the tears from decemberunderground?

Stones in glass houses, man.

Band of Horses is pretty awesome.

Bryan, are you implying I am some kind of Emo?

Just because my music can kick your musics ass doesn't mean I am obsessed with it to the point where I get emotionally involved with it.

I havn't cried for a long time and the only time I remember crying is when I fake cried at lagoon when I was about twelve so we didn't have to go home because I left my Grandmas Soft Frozen Lemonade on the fence and a fat guy knocked it over and it fell all over him so my friend and I pointed and laughed and apparantly that wasn't socially acceptable.

Sorry about that really long run-on sentence that isn't very important, than again when is anything I say important?

No.

Yes. I'm implying you're some kind of emo.

And the thought that your music could "kick my musics ass" is just silly.

DF MAVERICK,

Man, you should listen to some Horns man. They'll make you throw that emo little 'tude right out the fucking kitchen window. I'm serious. Good stuff.

Since you recommended it Steven, I will go download some right now

And Bryan I am not an Emo, I dont write suicide poems, I dont cry, I dont cut myself, etcetra..

I may be a bit less of a nerd nerd than you are, even if I did cry to Decemberunderground, than at least I dont jerk off to Wonder Women.
=P

Talk to ya later man,

Jeremy

jerking off to Wonder Woman is one of my favorite pastimes. Catwoman is good too.

You should try it some time. It'll work out some of that emo aggression you've got going on.

Bryan,

I really am at a loss for words seeing as that I didn't expect your response to be what it was.

Steven,

Horns aren't cool enough to be on emusic or Itunes so I cant download them.

Steven Greenstreet said...

DF,

Horns will be available on SLCtunes.com starting July 28th. Here's their Myspace page with some samples, though:

Listen to "You Can Take My Rickshaw" and "Rockstar Movement"

Tell me what you think.

I am not one to lie, and it isn't like my opinion means much, but I didn't really like them, I mean I wouldn't turn the radio station or skip the songs or anything, but I wouldn't put them on my playlist or go to any their concerts.

Steven Greenstreet said...

Yeah, their music kinda makes you want to throw a chair through a window. And I'm sometimes in the mood for that I guess. I mean, it's definently not pop rock. It's more like sledge hammer rock.

What!? No Bel Canto on that list? IF you haven't heard it, go to www.MusicaObscura.net and listen to some Bel Canto. There are a few songs on there by them or Anneli Drecker (Bel Canto's vocalist on her solo stuff). "Feels Like I'm Already Flying" by Bel Canto is the best song ever recorded.

Steven, When it comes time to rock out Euro-style, might I suggest Russia's "Gorky Park". They rock hard and could kick Bel Canto's butt any day of the week (with both hands tied behind their backs, I might add). I think the thing that most kicks axe about Gorky Park besides being from Russia has gotta be there killer lyrics. Here's a sample:

GORKY PARK - Child Of The Wind

You're living in a mystery
You're looking for a magic clue
Your puzzle has a million pieces
Who can put them together
You're living with a heart that's beating
Oooh out of time
You're thinking about the trust of people
All kinds of people
Down in your soul
Your secret's there to find
But you must search
Where spirits fly
Do you believe
In the power of a touch
The answer will come when you can give love

Child of the wind
I feel your warning
Child of the sea
I see your tears
Child of the rain
I hear your thunder
Child of the sky
I hear you cry

You're living with a silent stranger
He's living inside your mind
You're living on the edge of balance
Holding out for a reason
It's part of being human
Oooh it's all right
Some people never have the answer
Don't know the question Down in your soul
Your secret's there to find
But you must search
Where spirits fly
Do you believe
The power of a touch
The answer will come when you can give love

Child of the wind
I feel your warning
Child of the sea
I see your tears
Child of the rain
I hear your thunder
Child of the sky
I hear you cry

If those lyrics don't get you pumped, nothing will! Now just imagine those lyrics wailing along with killer guitar licks. That is what good music is!

ROCK AND ROLL WILL NEVER DIE!

Next thing you know you'll be recommending Hall and Oats.
