Trouble in Paradise?

I know I'm not breaking this story to any of you who read this blog. I expect you all check various credible news sources on a daily basis (I hope so anyway). But apparently, Bush and Cheney both told Scooter Libby to release classified data to the press in the Plame affair.

What does this mean politically? Does anyone care anymore? Does it matter to people that McLellan vowed that those responsible for leaking information would be tried to the fullest extent of the law? Does it matter that Bush and Cheney seem to be the top dogs responsible for the leaking? Do people even remember who the hell Scooter Libby is?

I'm curious to see how this affects the polls about midterm outcomes. It seems easier and easier to paint the Republicans as the party of corruption, lies and deceit, but is it going to help?

It's going to be an interesting week.
